For more than eight decades, this family of faith has been the sanctuary and source of guidance for thousands of God's people. Old timers as well as newcomers have gathered to worship, to learn, to do charity causes, and to be Christ for one another. In fact, everyone here takes to heart the following passage of the Bible, "…There are many different gifts, but it is always the same spirit. There are many different ways of serving, but it is always the same Lord. There are many different forms of activity, but in everybody it is the same God who is at work in them all." (1Cor 12:4-6)

As you surf through our website, hopefully you will see a great mixture of programs and activities to help address your spiritual needs and involve you in the life of the parish. Personally, I'm proud of our Catholic School, Religious Education Program, and Youth Ministry. I'm sure, with your prayer and support, our parish will always be the sweet home for us as well as the beacon of life for the community around us. Thank you for choosing the Land of Assumption.

I pray that your visit with us is fun-filled and satisfied.

Yours in Christ,
Fr. Peter G. Vu, Pastor

Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Parish - Established 1913.

[LEFT] This is how our church looked in the very beginning after being moved from St. Adalberts grounds and resembled here on Belmont Avenue. [RIGHT] After many years of growth our old church was razed and a new one was constructed on our property across the street. This is how it looks now.
